A forestry and aviation company based in Port Alberni, B.C. has signed an agreement with Airbus to help turn a workhorse transport plane into a water bomber. The Coulson Group of Canada has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Airbus Defense and Space to work on the water bomber version of the Airbus C295W transport aircraft.

A volunteer firefighter badly burned in a 2001 blaze has received the most extensive face transplant ever, covering his skull and much of his neck. The surgery has paved the way for him to regain normal vision, and in an interview he said that will allow him to accomplish a major goal: “I’ll start driving again.”
