Neil Hintze is a thirty year veteran of FDNY. He has held all operational positions from firefighter to battalion chief. His most recent assignment is Executive Chief Officer at the FDNY Center for Terrorism and Disaster Preparedness where he supervises the Center's permanent staff and temporary personnel. As Executive Chief Officer he coordinates, participates in and manages exercise design, risk assessment and emergency response.
Chief Hintze has attained a Masters of Arts in Security Studies and a Masters of Science in Education. He is an adjunct instructor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice where he teaches "Leadership/Management in the Fire Service". He also lectures extensively for the New York State Fire Officer Development Program.
"Leadership Skills for Company Officers" focuses on decision making and problem solving utilizing scenario based interactive group participation. The topics covered in this one day workshop include leadership, character and attributes, culture vs climate, communication, motivation, transition strategies for new leaders, and promoting yourself.
The target audience is company officers and others that perform or will be performing supervisory/leadership roles in your organization. The workshop will identify techniques and tools that will help them succeed.
